Self Discipline as Self Care

We do many things with the firm intention of protecting the future, like saving for retirement or getting an oil change.

Yet how many of us put off scheduling the annual physical (too busy!), colonoscopy (argh!), or mammogram (vice grip on your boobs!). The list goes on….

I get it. Life gets in the way, and adulting is hard. Flex your self-discipline muscle as a sign of self-care. Do what you say you are going to do—for yourself.

Call to set a time for your annual mammogram, colonoscopy, or annual physical exam. Until there is a cure, early detection saves lives.

Prioritize yourself as much as you prioritize a work deadline. Love yourself more than you love a tire rotation!

Your future self will thank you.
